Dear All: Well, who won? The Nobel prize for economic sciences for 2012 was announced today, October 15, 2012.  It went to two people Alvin Roth and Lloyd Shapley. Shapley is 90 years old, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Professor at UCLA.  Most of his important work was done at the Rand Corporation.  He obtained his BA from Harvard and his Ph.D. in mathematics from Princeton University....
